The Financial Markets are there to service Governments and the top 1% of professionals within the industry, The 'club' mentality, often also associated with the 'nomenklatura like' ministerial offices and Intelligence Services is replicated within the elite of the financial markets community. For the Intelligence Services they actually provide an incredible opportunity to identify key people of interest, their motives and their secrets. To have a shadow...you need light. Operating within the shadows carries an inherent risk of being seen.
Sometimes we do not have to see the object itself, but instead, a trail of where it once was is enough and tells us the same story, as well as an idea of where it is heading. We can apply the analogy to money launderers and financiers of terrorism. Here, however, we are not looking for something as complex as a celestial body. A financial trail is much easier to identify and therefore, manipulate.
